The Diocesan Youth Leadership Team is made up of 9th-12th graders from across the Diocese of Wilmington who come together to develop faith and leadership skills, engage with the Church, and build relationships with each other and with Jesus Christ.
These dynamic young people desire to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are willing to learn the skills to bring their faith into active roles in their parish/school and community. YLT members engage in team-building exercises, engage in leadership training, design and implement faith-sharing activities, and assist with the annual CYM Pilgrimage.

The dates have been set for the 2026-2027 YLT, and registration is now open!. All high school students are welcome to join the team. Parishes/Schools will be invoiced a $50-per-person membership fee to help offset team expenses.
Parish and school leaders should follow these guidelines when selecting and naming young people to this year’s YLT.
- Those parishes/schools with members on the team last year should consider renaming those young people who served last year but have not graduated from high school.
- If you had representatives from your parish or school on YLT last year and those young people have graduated from high school, you are welcome to replace them.
- Each parish and Catholic School can name up to two young people who are in 9th-12th grade.
To name young people for this year’s YLT, invite them to complete the registration form (link below).
