2026-2027 CYM Online Registration
- Administrators:
- Families who thought they registered their children for the 2026-2027 year before July 1 must return to update the registration.
- To login, head to www.cymsports.com.
- All new families must complete their CYM league registration before they complete your parish’s sport-specific registration. This also applies to returning athletes requesting to change their affiliation to your parish/school. Coaches and administrators at affiliated programs should not provide commitment or guarantees to a family that they will be assigned to your parish/school.
- Families who thought they registered their children for the 2026-2027 year before July 1 must return to update the registration.
- Parents & Guardians
- Athletes must register with the CYM league before registering with the parish.
- Families should not create a duplicate account or registration. Beginning in June, 2026, CYM has moved all registrations to Team Sideline. All new and returning participants can learn more of new requirements under CYM Sports Registration.
- The 2026-2027 CYM authorization form with your parish/school as the affiliation, starting in 2026-2027, will be in the form of a members pass. To locate your pass, please see your athletic association representative after July 20.
- Families may contact the office with questions or issues with the online registration. (catholicyouth@cdow.org)
- Coaching Requirements
- Coaches should update/complete their coach registration and requirements two weeks prior to the start of official practices and/or assessments | tryouts. They can see via their online profile (workflow) what requirements are current, missing, or about to expire to complete what is necessary to be added to the CYM roster.
- Previous coaching registration process has changed, and all coach clearances must be completed for all returning and/or new coaches under new system. For guidelines, please head to CYM Sports downloads and open guidelines document.
- Please provide your new coaches with your parish/school’s process for completing the background check. We frequently refer new coaches to the parish/school or AAP for instructions.
- Coaches and Administrators will no longer email the office (catholicyouth@cdow.org or cymsports@cdow.org) directly when they have received a background check results, VIRTUS training, or concussion training certificate. This is now done from the volunteer’s submitting certain documents, which will trigger steps to connect with the appropriate authority here at the office.
- Background check results should not be forwarded to us.
- We are not authorized to view or approve them.
- We request the clearance date from the Diocese’s Safe Environments Coordinator.

- Change of Affiliation Request
- If requesting a change, they may do so by completing a Change of Affiliation Request Form. **Disclaimer, all details must be disclosed in submission.**
- All 2026-2027 registrations, under the new system, will trigger audits that may change the affiliation of participants not appropriately affiliated. They will be required to fill this out and submit if this occurs.
- Families that contact affiliated program administrators directly about affiliation change can be referred to new registration to complete/update the request through their CYM registration before completing the parish/school registration due to audit.
- Affiliation requests must be completed as soon as possible once assigned. Athletes do not participate if they are not affiliated with your parish/school.
- We need to avoid receiving affiliation requests the week leading up to the first weekend of tryouts and practices.
- Families must be active members of your parish for more than 60 days when the request is submitted as a change in parish; otherwise, they select special circumstances with the details as to why they are making the request. A confirmed change to a Catholic School or active parish membership for more than 60 days results in an approved change without review. The Catholic school or parish must confirm the athlete/family’s status.
- If requesting a change, they may do so by completing a Change of Affiliation Request Form. **Disclaimer, all details must be disclosed in submission.**
- CYM Online Rosters
- Fall teams can begin practicing on the first Monday of August. The start date for this year is August 3rd. Please ensure your coaches and athletes have completed their account registration and sports program enrollment to coach and participate before your first practice. Tryouts and assessments are authorized two weeks prior to this date, falling on July 20 for 2026-2027.
- A workshop will be available in late July to walk athletic association representatives through the process of adding teams and adding participants to rosters.
- Let the office know if there are players or coaches who you do not see to add to the roster once your administrative access is toggled on. A representative of CYM can tell you why and what needs to be done.
- Athletic Association Representatives, Local Coordinators, and Head Coaches will have access to edit rosters and athletes, if authorized by the AAR. Only the AAR and the local coordinator can add the head coach. Please confirm internally who is responsible for completing the rosters and be sure that person is aware of this responsibility, which includes adding all coaches and athletes and submitting the completed roster for the AAR to review and approve.
- CYM will lock the rosters on Thursday afternoon before the first weekend of games this fall at 4:00pm, and all rosters should be approved by the AAR.
- Fall Forms
- As communicated in June, CYM no longer has Gym/Facilities Availability Sheets, conflict submission sheets, or team submission sheets. All of these forms are now tied into Team Sideline for automation purposes.
- You should begin listing or gathering conflicts, as well as your coaches, to prepare to submit them into new system.
- It is important to input all necessary information by the deadlines found on the official calendar. Administrative penalties for failure to submit by the deadline will occur. No extensions will be offered.
- Most calendars will be completed, and having as many known conflicts as possible before the completion of the final schedule will reduce the number of rescheduled games throughout the season and avoid a delay in posting the final schedule. In 2025-2026, CYM forfeited $3600 in fees due to reschedules, forfeits, or cancellations. Any unnecessary change will result in fees for 2026-2027, equal to bill received by third-party organization.

To be sent to all Athletic Association Representatives for forwarding in July, 2026.
