Directions to Volleyball Venues
 

CHRIST THE TEACHER – 2451 Frazer Rd., Newark, DE  19702 – From I95 (North or South), take Rt. 896 South for approximately 3 miles to Rt. 40 Pulaski Hwy.  Take Rt. 40 west toward Elkton for approximately 1.5 miles and turn left onto Frazer Rd.  The school entrance will be located on the left off Frazer Rd.

 

CORPUS CHRISTI - 907 New Road, Wilmington, DE 19805 From Prices Corner, take Rt. 2 (Kirkwood Hgy) east into Elsmere.  The gym is located on Rt. 2 a short distance past the light at the Elsmere Fire Company.

 

ELKTON YMCA from I 95 - Take I 95 South, through the toll, to Elkton exit, Exit 109A.

This exit brings you onto Route 279 (Elkton/Newark Rd.).  Go 3.8 miles (going towards Route 40.)  You’ll go through four traffic lights. The fourth is at the bottom of a hill.  Take the next left after this light. This is YMCA Blvd.  The YMCA is big, you can’t miss it. It’s basically at the intersection of Routes 40 & 279.  ELKTON YMCA from Route 40 - Take Route 40 West towards Elkton/Baltimore, and watch for the signs at the state line.  Williams Chevy dealership is at the state line.  Go 3.9 miles past the DE/MD line, and turn right onto Route 279.

Take the first right onto YMCA Blvd.  The YMCA is big, you can’t miss it. It’s basically at the intersection of Routes 40 & 279.

 

FOURNIER HALL - 1812 Howland St. and two (2) blocks from St. Anthony School.  Take N. Lincoln St. from Lancaster Ave North to 9th St.  Turn right on 9th St. at Father Tucker Field.  Go one (1) block to N. Scott St. and turn right.  Go one (1) block to Howland St. and turn right.  Fournier Hall is on the loft at the corner of Howland and Lincoln Sts.  Please use the entrance closest to Scott St.  The gym is on the 2nd floor.

 

HOLY ANGELS - 82 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE  19711 - From Prices Corner, take Kirkwood Highway (Del Rt 2) west to Possum Park Road.  Turn right on Possum Park Rd and Holy Angels will be a short distance on the right.

 

HOLY CROSS – From New Castle County, follow Rr. 1 south to exit 97 (Salisbury, Norfolk-Rt. 13 South-this takes you around downtown traffic and lights).  Turn right at the light onto Rt. 13 north, move to the left lane ASAP.  Turn left at the next light, which is State St.  Holy Cross will be one mile on the right.  Watch for the second school zone.  Pass the brick Holy Cross sign and enter the next drive.  ALTERNATE:  Rt. 1 south to exit 104 (Denney’s Rd) to Rt. 13 south.  Stay in the right lane and Delaware State University will be on the right.  Shortly after Delaware State University, bear right at the traffic light at the Delaware Agriculture Museum.  Cross Silver Lake Bridge and turn left at the light onto State Street at the end of the bridge.  Continue approximately 1 1/2 miles through historic district and Holy Cross will be on the left aide across from Kent General Hospital.

 

HOLY SPIRIT - Located in Garfield Park. From Memorial Dr., take  Rt. 9 (New Castle Ave) South a short distance to Halcyon Dr and turn right.  Halcyon Drive is the last street prior to I295.  The entrance to Holy Spirit will be a short distance on the left off Halcyon.

 

IHM - Shipley And Weldin Rds, Wilmington, DE 19803 Immaculate Heart of Mary is located at Weldon Rd and Shipley Rd.  Take I95 and exit at Rt. 202 (Concord Pike) North.  Stay in right lane and continue North on Rt. 202.  Turn right at the first light which is Foulk Rd.  North on Foulk Rd and turn right at the first light which is Weldon Rd.  Continue straight on Weldon Rd to Shipley Rd.  IHM will be on the left at the intersection of Weldin Rd and Shipley Rd.

 

MT. AVIAT ACADEMY - I95 South and take Elkton Rd (Md 279 Elkton-Newark Rd) for 2 1/2 miles to Md 213.  Turn right on Md. 213 and continue North on Md 213 for 2 1/2 miles to Childs Rd and turn left.  School and Gym is located 1/4 mi on the right.

 

OUR LADY OF FATIMA - Rt. 13 (duPont Hgy) and Harrison Ave in Wilmington Manor.  Entrance to gym is off Harrison Ave.

 

ST. ANN - 2006 Shallcross Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806 N. Union St. and Shallcross Ave in Wilmington.  From Pennsylvania Ave, take N. Union St. North past Delaware Ave.

 

ST. CATHERINE - 2501 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808  Located on Centerville Rd between Lancaster Pike (Rt. 48) and Faulkland Rd.  From Wilmington, take Rt. 48 (Lancaster Pike) North to Centerville Rd.  Turn left on Centerville Rd and continue straight.  St. Catherine will be on the right.

 

ST. ELIZABETH -1500 Cedar Street, Wilmington, DE 19805  Take Rt. 4 (Maryland Ave) East from Newport into Wilmington and turn left onto Broom St.  Continue on Broom approximately one mile to Cedar St and turn left.  The entrance to the gym is located near the corner of Cedar & Rodney Sts.

 

ST. HEDWIG - Take Rt. 4 Maryland Ave) East from Newport into Wilmington.  Continue straight past Broom St.  At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto South VanBuren St where a former gas station is located.  Turn right onto Sycamore St.  St. Hedwig Gym is on the left. 

 

ST. JOHN THE BELOVED – Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 Located on Milltown Rd between Rt. 41 (Newport Gap Pike) and Rt. 7 (Limestone Rd).

 

ST. MARY MAGDALEN - 9 Sharpley Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 From I95, take Rt. 202 (Concord Pike) North.  Continue North on Rt. 202 for approximately 2 miles to Sharpley Rd and turn left.  St. Mary Magdalen Church and School is located at the corner of Rt. 202 & Sharpley Rd.

 

ST. MATTHEW - From Newport, take Rt. 4 (Maryland Ave) East to Boxwood Rd.  The gym is located across from Banning Park.

 

ST. PETER’S, NC - E. 6th St. and Harmoney St. New Castle, Delaware 19720 Take Rt. 9 (New Castle Ave) straight into 6th St in New Castle.  St. Peter’s will be on the left.

 

ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE – 201 Bayard Ave, Wilmington, DE  19805 From Prices Corner, take Rt. 2 Kirkwood Hgy into the City of Wilmington to W. 2nd St.  Turn left on W. 2nd St. and continue straight and W. 2nd St. will dead end at St. Thomas School.  Drive around the building to the entrance to the parking lot off Woodlawn Ave.

 

ST. THOMAS MORE – 133 Thomas More Dr, Magnolia, DE 19962 - From I95 and Rt. 1 Christiana Mall, take Rt. 1 south for 48 miles past Dover Air Force Base and over the St. Jones River Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, exit at the sign for Magnolia. Take a left onto Barker's Landing Road, and a quick right onto Ponderosa Drive. Take the next left onto Plaindealing Road.  The next right is the drive for St. Thomas More Academy.  Go around the building to the gym.  If you reach a stop light you've gone about 1/4 mile too far.
