Directions to Softball Venues

ALAPOCAS – Alapocas Dr and Old Country Rd Wilmington, Delaware 19806 Rt. 141 and Alapocas Dr located behind the DuPont Company Experimental Station.  The entrance is off Alapocas Dr a short distance from Rt. 141.

BANNING - Middleboro Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19804 Banning complex is located off Maryland Ave (Rt. 4) and Boxwood Rd.  The entrance to Banning is off Middleboro Rd.  The #5 field is the little league that is fenced with the backstop facing the railroad tracks.  The field is located in the middle of the softball fields.

BONSALL – 3000 Silverside Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19810 The location of Bonsall softball fields #1, #2 & #3 are on Silverside Rd between Shipley and Fould Rds.  If you go north on Concord Pike (Rt. 202), turn right on Silverside Rd and continue past Shipley Rd.  Bonsall field will be on the right.  #1 Field is the little league field.

BRANDYWINE SPRINGS – 3300 Faukland Rd. Wilmington , Delaware 19808 Located on Faulkland Rd just off Newport Gap Pike (Rt. 41).  From Kirkwood Hgy (Rt. 2) Prices Corner, go north on Rt. 41 and turn right on Faulkland Rd.  The entrance to the park is on the right.

CANBY #5 – 669 S. Union St. Wilmington, Delaware 19805 Located off South Union St. across from Fraim Boys Club.

CHELSEA #1 & #2 – 40 Jay Dr. New Castle, Delaware 19720 North on Basin Rd (Rt 141) from DuPont Hgy (Rt. 13).  Turn right onto Jay Dr which is in Chelsea Estates.  Field will be on the right side.  #1 Field is closest to the parking lot.  #2 field is located at the far end.  A small parking lot near field #2 can be found by entering through the development of Wilmington Manor off Pennsylvania Ave.

CHRIST THE TEACHER -  2451 Frazer Rd., Newark, DE  19702 - From I95, take Rt. 896 south for approximately 3 miles to Rt. 40 Pulaski Hsy.  Take Rt. 40 west toward Elkton for approximately 1.5 miles and turn left onto Frazer Rd.  The school entracne will be located on the left off Frazer Rd.  The baseball field is located behind the school.

COVENTRY – W. Edinburgh Dr. New Castle, Delaware 19720 From the Town of Newport, take Rt. 141 East to the light at Corporate Commons.  Turn right and continue past the Motor Vehicle Lanes to the next traffic light.  Turn right and the field is behind the swimming pool.

DELCASTLE #5 –802 McKennans Church Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19808 From Prices Corner, take Kirkwood Hgy (Del Rt 2) West for approximately one mile to Duncan Rd.  I. Goldberg Store will be located at the intersection of Rt. 2 and Duncan Rd.  Turn right onto Duncan Rd and continue for approximately 1½ miles to McKennans Church Rd which is a “T” intersection.  Turn left on McKennans Church Rd and the entrance to Delcastle Complex will be on the left.  Delcastle #5 is the little league field located near the football field.

DOVER – Dover Ave, Elsmere, DE  19805 - From Prices Corner go east on Kirkwood Hgy (Rt. 2) into the Town of Elsmere.  Continue past the Elsmere Fire House which is on your left straight through the next traffic light.  A short distance from the traffic light, make a right turn onto Filbert Ave which is locate across the highway from the Corpus Christi Gym.  A flower shop is located at the corner of Kirkwood Hgy and Filbert Ave.  After making the right turn onto Filbert, continue straight to the end of Filbert which intersects with Dover Ave.  Turn left into the parking lot located at the corner of Filbert and Dover.

GREENBANK – Greenbank Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19808 Located in Greenbank Park, Prices Corner, at the intersection of Kirkwood Hgy (Rt. 2) and Newport Gap Pike (Rt. 141).  The entrance to the park is located off Greenbank Rd.  The Softball Field is located closest to Kirkwood Hgy.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION – Bow St. and Elkton Heights Elkton, Maryland 21921 From Newark, take Newark-Elkton Rd toward Elkton.  You will pass a truck stop on the left and will go under I95.  Continue straight and make a left turn at the first traffic light as you enter Elkton.  Elkton Middle School will be on the left.  After making the left turn, continue straight to the foot of the bridge.  Turn right at the foot of the bridge – DO NOT CROSS THE BRIDGE.  After turning right, make the first left and the field will be on the right.

LUMS POND – From Wilmington, take I95 south to Newark and exit using the Rt. 896 South exit ramp.  Continue south on Rt. 896 for approximately 2 miles and turn left on Howell School Road.  The entrance to the part is off Howell School Rd.

MARBROOK –2101 Centerville Rd.  Wilmington, Delaware 19808 Centerville Road between Kirkwood Hgy (Rt. 2) and Faulkland Rd.  #2 field is the smaller field closest to the school.

MT. AVIAT ACADEMY - I95 South and take Elkton Rd (Md 279 Elkton-Newark Rd) for 2 1/2 miles to Md 213.  Turn right on Md. 213 and continue North on Md 213 for 2 1/2 miles to Childs Rd and turn left.  School is located 1/4 mi on the right and the field is located behind the school.

POWELL FORD – Stanton Rd. and Kiamensi Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19804 From Newport, take Newport-Christiana Rd (Rt. 4) west for approximately 1½ miles to Stanton.  When Rt. 4 splits, turn right at the next traffic light which is Stanton Rd.  Powell Ford will be on the right approximately ½ mile from Rt. 4.

RICHEY FIELD – 105 Highland Ave. Newport, Delaware 19804 Richey School is located in the Town of Newport.  From Wilmington, take Maryland Ave (Rt. 4) west into the Town of Newport.  Make a right turn at the traffic light prior to the Rt. 144 overpass.  Continue straight past Newport Police station to the first traffic light and turn right into the parking lot of the former Krebs School now Pettinaro Office Park.  Parking has been authorized and the field is in the back.

ROCKFORD – Tower Rd. and West 19th St. Wilmington, Delaware 19806 From Del. Rt. 52 (Pennsylvania Ave) near Wilcastle Center, turn onto Tower Rd which will take you directly to the entrance of the park.  Field #2 is located near the tennis courts.  Field #3 is the smaller field at the bottom of the hill.

ROGERS MANOR – 471 Moores Lane New Castle, Delaware 19720 From Wilmington, take DuPont Hgy (Rt. 13) south past the I295 overpass.  Turn right at Boulden Blvd, which is the first traffic light south of I295.  Continue on Boulden Blvd until you come to a “T” intersection, which is Moores Lane.  Turn right on Moores Lanes and Rogers Manor Park will be approximately ½ mile on the left.

ST. HELENA – 210 Bellefonte Ave. Wilmington, Delaware 19809 Located at the intersection of Philadelphia Pike and Washington St. Ext across from Delaware State Police Troop 1.  The field is in the back.

ST. PETER, NC – E. 6th St. and Harmoney St. New Castle, Delaware 19720 6^th and Harmony Streets in New Castle.  Softball field is located in the back.

ST. THOMAS MORE – 133 Thomas More Dr, Magnolia, DE 19962 - From I95 and Rt. 1 Christiana Mall, take Rt. 1 south for 48 miles past Dover Air Force Base and over the St. Jones River Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, exit at the sign for Magnolia. Take a left onto Barker's Landing Road, and a quick right onto Ponderosa Drive. Take the next left onto Plaindealing Road.  The next right is the drive for St. Thomas More Academy.  Go around the building to the gym.  If you reach a stop light you've gone about 1/4 mile too far.

TALLEY DAY – 1200 Faulk Rd Wilmington, Delaware 19803 Located in the 1200 block of Faulk Rd in north Wilmington.  From I95, take Rt. 202 (Concord Pike) north to the first traffic light which is Faulk Rd.  Turn right onto Faulk Rd and continue north for approximately 1.5 miles and the park will be on the right.

TUCKER – N. Lincoln St. and W. 9th St. Wilmington, Delaware 19806 Tucker Field is located at the intersection of N. Lincoln and 9^th St. near St. Anthony School.

VILONE FIELD – Olga Rd. Wilmington, Delaware 19805 From Prices Corner, take Del. Rt. 2 (Kirkwood Hgy) East into the Town of Elsmere.  At the traffic light near the Elsmere Fire House, turn left onto Sanders Rd.  Continue straight on Sanders Rd until you come to a “T” intersection which is Olga Rd.  Turn right onto Olga Rd and the entrance to the park and field will be on your left.
